In just a week’s time, Stephan and Julie had to cancel their wedding scheduled for Lake Placid this October, and reschedule it to a favorite local hangout, Lucas Confectionery, a super eclectic eatery, bar and coffee shop right on Second Street in Troy. They have a greenhouse-like industrial garden space in the back of their storefronts that serves as the perfect venue for an intimate affair.
I was so impressed by everyone’s ability to make it out in four day’s notice, for the flowers to set the scene, the venue to coordinate the timeline, and the wonderful needle-wielding seamstress who made quick work of Julie’s alterations, just in time for Julie to surprise Stephan at the alter with her wedding gown.
These two are something great, and it makes my heart burst to have been able to celebrate with them in a city that has become quite special to them. Without further ado…
